Veteran actress Morgan Fairchild just landed the lead role on a new TV series. Fairchild, whose long list of TV credits includes “Dallas,” “Falcon Crest” and “Flamingo Road,” will play the lead in the new serialized drama “Mélange,” Variety reports.
“The half-hour series will center on the fight over the ownership of an historic New York City gay bar, Mélange, after its proprietor has suddenly and mysteriously died,” Variety reports. “It will explore themes of sexuality, immigration, addiction, power, and inclusion.”
The report adds: “The ensemble cast include talent from television, Broadway, reality TV, and social media. It will also mark the American TV debut of Omar Sharif Jr, grandson of the legendary Omar Sharif.”
No network is currently attached to the project, which is scheduled to shoot from Aug. 4-Aug. 7 in Manhattan, Variety notes.
