When the “Roseanne” spinoff “The Conners” arrives on ABC — minus the fired former star of the show Roseanne Barr — the Roseanne character will be killed off. That’s according to John Goodman, one of the show’s other stars, who “let the cat out of the bag” about the fate of the character, according to the ETOnline website.

Goodman made the revelation in an interview with the U.K. publication The Sunday Times. Goodman said of his character, Dan Conner: “I guess he’ll be mopey and sad because his wife’s dead.”

ET quotes a synopsis for “The Conners” that reads: “After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before. This iconic family — Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. — grapples with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns — with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails.”

  1. Yeah, good luck with that.

I wonder what the Las Vegas odds are for episodes to cancellation? Two? Three?
