MSNBC Chalks Up a Big Ratings Achievement

The cable news channel MSNBC just racked up a big achievement in the ratings, not only beating its rivals in cable news but topping all of cable as the most watched network in weekday prime time for the week of Aug. 20.

The channel announced that it topped No. 2 Fox News and No. 4 CNN in total viewers for the week in weekday prime (Monday-Friday, 8-11 p.m.), and was No. 4 across all cable in the key news demo of adults 25-54, beating No. 5 Fox and No. 6 CNN.

MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” was No. 1 across all cable in total viewers, and was the No. 1 cable news show in both total viewers and adults 25-54. Meanwhile, MSNBC’s dayside lineup delivered its most-watched week in 15 years.

  4. Yes! America is watching MSNBC to get the true facts of what is going on in the corruption of our current Administration and GOP Congress. The people demand the truth, and are finding it here. Love the correspondents and journalists that they have. Protect the free press.
