The circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found dead with a gunshot wound are being investigated after police found the body of L.B. Bonner. TMZ reports that Bonner, who appeared on the TLC series “My 600-lb. Life,” was found in a ditch.

Bonner, who reportedly lost more than 300 pounds on the reality show, was 30 years old.

“Police were making a welfare check Thursday night when they found him in a park in Lexington, South Carolina … this according to a police report obtained by TMZ,” the website reports, adding: “L.B. appeared in last season’s ‘My 600-lb Life’ that documented his incredible weight-loss journey. He started at 642 pounds and trimmed off a whopping 316 pounds, but kept shedding the weight even after filming the show.”

The report notes that Bonner had written Thursday night on Facebook: “I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shown me love and support throughout my journey…I’ve realized a few things over the last few days and its time that, I face my demons head on.”

Bonner also says in the post: “No matter what you change or the efforts you put forth in life, sometimes you just have to take it on the chin and deal with things your own way…Again, thank y’all so much… Please don’t ever let people you care about not know how you feel.”

TMZ notes that authorities have not yet officially ruled Bonner’s death a suicide.

  1. Thanks again for terming this people as reality “personalities” and not “stars” cause I’ve never heard of this fat slob.

    • What an awful thing to say. I don’t know anything about this man either, but leaving a demeaning comment on an article about someone’s death via probable suicide is alarming and vile. Shame on you for your lack of humanity.

  2. I agree with you Lisa on the comment above you. RealTVCritics, you’re a POS. Do you still live at home in your mom’s basement?

    • While calling RealTVCritics out for their horrible behavior is a good thing, Tim, calling him a POS, and criticizing his life choices is basically the exact same thing you are calling him out for. So, not really helping here, bud.

  3. RealTVCritics your comment is hateful, disgusting. To call him a fat slob……well last I knew we are all human and we all have imperfections so what is yours? Would you like it if someone posted about your imperfection if you were found dead? To say degrading things about another person whether deceased or even alive tells me Your a BULLY, how do you look at yourself in the mirror every day? I feel sorry for your soul; when you die one day, all your judgement will be on you so choose your words wisely.
