‘Star Wars’ Icon Joins Cast of Cable Series

One of the stars of the original “Star Wars” movie released in 1977 is joining the cast of the History series “Knightfall.” History today announced the casting of Mark Hamill, who became an iconic figure in the “Star Wars” universe for his performances as Luke Skywalker.

The casting news came as part of History’s announcement that it has ordered a second season of the drama series. Additionally, Aaron Helbin is set as showrunner and executive prodcuer.

Hamill will play the role of Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order.
