NBC’s long-running sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live,” which kicks off its 44th season on Sept. 29, announced a number of additions to the lineup today.
The show added Ego Nwodim as a featured player. Nwodim has been a regular cast member at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles, where she performed her one-woman show, “Great Black Women … and Then There’s Me.”
“SNL” also added Alan Linic, Alison Gates, Eli Mandel and Bowen Yang as writers.
Adam Driver hosts the season premiere, with Kanye West as musical guest.
“Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
