“Actor Tom Arnold is accusing reality producer and MGM Television Chairman Mark Burnett of attacking him at a pre-Emmys party Sunday night,” CNN reports. “Arnold filed a police report for battery on Monday morning, LAPD Officer Jeff Lee told CNN.”

Arnold also texted CNN about the alleged altercation, saying of Burnett, “He’s a psycho.”

CNN quotes the text from Arnold saying: “He lunged at me and full on chocked [sic] me as i was walking UP the stairs. Took me a minute to get my footing before I could get his claw off me and fight back. It was crazy. My throat is soar [sic] but I’m fine. ”

The report notes that Arnold has been conducting a high-profile search for Donald Trump tapes from the reality show “The Apprentice,” which was produced by Burnett. Arnold’s Viceland show about the effort, “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” is due to premiere tomorrow, Sept. 18.

“Arnold was also a contestant on the show and has been needling Burnett about alleged tapes over Twitter for months,” CNN adds.
