We’re barely into the fall television season, and one show has already been declared the “No. 1 new cable series of 2018.” The show, according to FX, is “Mayans M.C.”

The series premiere of the “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff has been watched by 6.8 million total viewers to date across all linear and non-linear platforms, according to the network. FX says “Mayans” had the most-watched cable series premiere of 2018 in Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

FX announced that “Mayans” beat the series premiere of “Sons of Anarchy” by 46% in Adults 18-49 and by 64% in Total Viewers.
