One broadcast network has clinched the ratings crown for the 52-week 2017-2018 TV season in both total viewers and the key 18-49 demo. NBC made the announcement today, noting that it was the first time in 16 years that the network had won the title of most-watched.
In the key 18-49 demo, it was NBC’s fifth consecutive win.
While the Super Bowl and Olympics were keys to the network’s success, NBC noted that counting only entertainment programming, it still was No. 1 in the key demo.
With two weeks officially left to count, NBC clinched No. 1 in all key metrics, including Adults, Men and Women 18-34 and 25-54, marking the first time in 10 years that one network has swept the demo categories.
