Animal Planet has a batch of new shows ready to roll out this month, along with a new “global brand identity” and a new “leaping elephant” logo, which you can see below. The starting point is the new series “Crikey! It’s the Irwins,” which premieres Oct. 28.

Animal Planet said the new brand identity is “part of a worldwide strategy to take the network forward as a global brand leader. With globally-appealing programming and talent faithful to new brand values, Animal Planet’s mission is squarely centered around keeping the childhood joy and wonder of animals alive by bringing people up close in every way. The Animal Planet global brand identity will provide a multi-platform experience for every member of the family and begins as a phased rollout on Oct. 28 in the U.S. and UK followed by all remaining countries and territories by the end of 1Q19 to create brand and content consistency across Animal Planet, which is currently in 360 million homes in more than 205 countries and territories.”

Also launching Oct. 28 is “Amanda to the Rescue,” to be followed by the Oct. 29 premiere of “Big Cat Tales.”
