An upcoming TV series about longtime Fox News Channel boss Roger Ailes has added Seth MacFarlane and Sienna Miller to the cast, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.
The eight-episode limited series, in the works at Showtime, is based on Gabriel Sherman’s Ailes book “The Loudest Voice in the Room.”
The project has also cast Simon McBurney as Rupert Murdoch and Annabelle Wallis as a Fox News staffer, THR reports. Russell Crowe is set to play Ailes.
“In addition to Crowe, the cast also includes Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson, the former Fox News anchor who sued Ailes in 2016 for allegedly firing her after she turned down his sexual advances,” THR reports. “Other claims soon followed, which led to Ailes resigning from the network.”
Miller will reportedly play Ailes’ wife, Beth, with MacFarlane to play Brian Lewis, an Ailes confidant and the former head of PR at Fox News.
