A Golden Globe-winning drama series has been picked up for a third season on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service announced today that it is moving forward with season three of “Goliath.”

Billy Bob Thornton won a Golden Globe for his lead performance on the show in 2017. Along with Thornton, season three will feature Dennis Quaid, Amy Brenneman, Griffin Dunne, Sherilyn Fenn, Beau Bridges and Shamier Anderson in key roles, Amazon said.

A premiere date has not yet been set, but the season is due to launch in 2019.

“Goliath” also stars Nina Arianda (“Stan & Ollie”) as Patty Solis-Papagian, Tania Raymonde (“Cliffs of Freedom”) as Brittany Gold, Diana Hopper (“Bit”) as Denise McBride, Ana de la Reguera (“Narcos”) as Marisol Silva and Julie Brister (“Review”) as Marva Jefferson. The series is executive produced by Lawrence Trilling (“Parenthood”), Geyer Kosinski (“Fargo”) and Jennifer Ames & Steve Turner (“Boardwalk Empire”).

The following paragraph contains SPOILERS about season three.

“This season, the unexpected death of an old friend leads Billy McBride (Thornton) to take a case in the drought-stricken Central Valley where he comes face-to-face with a new Goliath: a billionaire rancher (Quaid) and his sister (Brenneman),” Amazon says in its announcement. ” As Billy and his team pursue the truth, old enemies and personal demons resurface, forcing him to confront his own mortality.”
