The Hollywood Foreign Press Association said its new television special achievement award will go to Carol Burnett — and the award will be named the “Carol Burnett Award.”

The group said the award, which is being given for the first time, honors the “highest level of achievement in television.” Burnett, a five-time Golden Globe winner, will accept the honor at the Golden Globes ceremony, which will air live coast-to-coast on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 6.
