Roseanne Barr to Address Israeli Parliament

Dec 26, 2018  •  Post A Comment

Roseanne Barr, whose ABC comedy reboot “Roseanne” was canceled in May amid a controversy over racist remarks on Twitter, will travel in January to Israel, where she has been invited to address the country’s Parliament.

“Barr announced her visit to Israel on Monday, saying her aim is to ‘further my own knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history’ and speak out ‘against the insidious and anti-Semitic BDS movement,'” the AP reports. “BDS refers to a Palestinian-led movement calling for boycott, divestment and sanctions of Israel.”

The report quotes Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, whose organization sponsored Barr’s trip, saying that “bringing an incredibly proud Jewish woman like Rosanne to Israel will be a great boost to its citizens.”

  2. speaking of Roseanne … are cows considered to Kosher ?

  3. Seems kind of risky for a comedienne to speak to Israel. Prayers go out
