A number of key ABC stations have new affiliation agreements with the network after ABC entered into a comprehensive, multi-year deal with Tegna Inc., TVNewsCheck reports.
The deal renews the station affiliation agreements for all of the company’s ABC-affiliated stations, affecting nine markets covering 7% of the U.S. and serving almost 8 million households.
The ABC affiliates covered by the deal are WFAA Dallas; KXTV Sacramento, Calif.; KVUE Austin, Texas; WVEC Norfolk, Va.; WZZM Grand Rapids, Mich.; WJXX Jacksonville, Fla.; WHAS Louisville, Ky.; KIII Corpus Christi, Texas; and KBMT Beaumont, Texas.
John Rouse, executive VP of affiliate relations and marketing for the ABC Television Network, commented in the announcement: “We value the collaboration we have with Tegna to reach viewers in key markets across the country. We are very pleased to extend our agreement and look forward to building on our strong relationship in the years to come.”
