A series running on Bravo has been hitting it out of the park in the ratings. The cable channel announced that the sixth episode of “Dirty John,” which was televised Sunday, Dec. 30, was the highest-rated episode of the series across all key demos, making it Bravo’s highest-rated scripted series telecast ever.

The episode delivered 1.2 million viewers in adults 18-49, 1.5 million in adults 25-54 and 2.9 million total viewers, based on Nielsen L+3 data.

Bravo noted that “Dirty John” was the No. 1 scripted series on cable among all key demos during the week of Dec. 24-30.

A new episode airs this Sunday, Jan. 6.

Bravo released the following description of the show: “Based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast with nearly 40 million downloads (and growing) from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, the series tells the cautionary tale of how a whirlwind romance between Debra Newell (Connie Britton) and the charismatic con-man John Meehan (Eric Bana) spiraled into a frightening web of deception, denial and mental terror that nearly tore a family apart.”

The show comes from Universal Cable Productions in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment.
