Frankie Shaw, creator and star of the Showtime comedy “SMILF,” responded to allegations of misconduct that have surfaced over her behavior on the set. Shaw discussed the situation during an appearance with Rosie O’Donnell on NBC’s “Today.”
O’Donnell is one of Shaw’s co-stars on the series.
Shaw attributed much of the trouble to her own inexperience.
“This was my first time doing this job, and we move fast, and I was learning on the go,” she said, adding: “I’m just really grateful that I can take these lessons and be a more aware and attuned showrunner moving forward.”
