A former model and wrestler who became one of the stars of WWE and went on to appear on the CBS reality competition “Survivor” has died. TMZ reports that Ashley Massaro died early this morning in a hospital near her home in Suffolk County, N.Y.

Officials did not reveal her cause of death, but TMZ reports that it was being classified as “non-criminal.”

“Massaro famously won the WWE’s ‘2005 Raw Diva Search’ — which included a $250,000 1-year contract,” TMZ reports. “She went on to become a valet for WWE tag team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick.”

She reportedly competed in a WWE Women’s Championship against Melina at Wrestlemania 23 in 2007, and took part in a Playboy BunnyMania LumberJill match at Wrestlemania 24 in 2008.

TMZ notes that Massaro appeared on “Survivor: China” in 2007, being voted off in the season’s second episode.
