Trump Ratchets Up Feud With Debra Messing, Goes After NBC

Sep 5, 2019  •  Post A Comment

Donald Trump continued his war of words today with actress Debra Messing, saying the “Will & Grace” star is being accused of being a racist because of “terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness.”

In back-to-back tweets sent out Thursday morning, Trump also suggested that NBC is guilty of a double standard unless it takes a cue from ABC’s handling of Roseanne Barr and fires Messing.

The latest volley from Trump continues the war of words we reported on Tuesday, in which Messing noted that Trump was paying attention to her tweets instead of addressing issues such as gun violence and the FEMA disaster fund.

Here’s the text of Trump’s two tweets Thursday morning about Messing:

“Bad ‘actress’ Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water. She wants to create a ‘Blacklist’ of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism. Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness. If Roseanne Barr….

“….said what she did, even being on a much higher rated show, she would have been thrown off television. Will Fake News NBC allow a McCarthy style Racist to continue? ABC fired Roseanne. Watch the double standard!”
