In what’s being called a “freak accident,” the star of ABC’s “The Bachelor” was hospitalized and received 22 stitches on his face, according to media reports.
People magazine reports that Peter Weber is “doing fine and back on track in his journey to love,” after falling on a golf course in Costa Rica.
“‘The Bachelor‘s’ newest leading man is back to shooting his season with a bandage over his face a day after his ‘golf cart mishap’ on location in Costa Rica, a source tells People,” the magazine reports. “A second insider says his injury was blown out of proportion, telling People, ‘It’s not as bad as what is being reported!’”
Weber was reportedly on a date, and production on the show remained on schedule.
In fact, he’s currently on a date, and production is going on as scheduled.
People adds: “Radar Online reported that Weber split his head open Monday after he his head on cocktail glasses while trying to get into a golf cart. He was rushed to the hospital and given 22 stitches, according to the website.”
Weber, 28, who was previously a contestant on “The Bachelorette,” will be at the center of season 24 of “The Bachelor,” which premieres in January.
