Sir Elton John, the music icon who is the focus of the recent feature film “Rocketman” and also has an autobiography, “Me,” that was just released, made a rare non-musical appearance after a screening of the film Tuesday night at Paramount’s main theater on its studio lot in Los Angeles.
John appeared along with his longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin and a number of the key players involved in the film — Taron Egerton, who plays John in the movie; Jamie Bell, who plays Taupin; Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Elton John’s mother; and “Rocketman” director Dexter Fletcher.
John has been opening up about his troubled past, both in his book and through his involvement in the film. And Tuesday’s appearance found the legendary singer once again in the mood to spill all.
