A “creative overhaul” is under way for a show that has been in the works at Hulu. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that showrunner Erica Rivinoja and the entire writing staff have been let go from the animated comedy series “Tigra & Dazzler Show.”
The report notes that the moves follow “creative differences with Marvel.” The show is one of four adult-themed animated comedies that Marvel reportedly has in the works at Hulu.
“Sources say Rivinoja and her team had completed multiple scripts and outlines for others and were 15 weeks into a planned 20-week production cycle,” THR reports. “Production on the show has been paused as sources note Marvel plans to hire a new showrunner and have them build their own writing team as part of a larger creative overhaul. All of the work Rivinoja and her staff had completed is being thrown out.”
Hulu and Marvel weren’t commenting, but the report cites sources saying both companies remain committed to making the show.
