In an incident that has gone viral after being captured live by TV news cameras, television reporter Alex Bozarjian, who was covering a fun run for WSAV-TV in Savannah, Ga., became the victim of what’s being called an assault when one of the runners apparently slapped her on her backside as he ran past her.

Bozarjian discussed the incident on “CBS This Morning,” and you can see the clip below.

The New York Post reports that the man was tracked by his race number, and was identified as Tommy Callaway of Savannah.

“Callaway is a youth group leader at his church, Pittman Park UMC, as well as a Boy Scout leader, according to Heavy, based on social media sites that he quickly took down as he was outed and banned from future races,” The Post reports. “His lawyer, Joseph Turner, called him a ‘loving husband and father who is very active in his community’ and local church, insisting he was ‘working with those involved to correct the situation.’”

Turner added in a statement: “While we regret the situation, Mr. Callaway did not act with any criminal intentions.”

Bozarjian, who indicated she has filed a police report over the incident, said: “It’s not OK to help yourself to a woman’s body just because you feel like it. It’s not playful. He hurt me, both physically and emotionally.”

  1. OMG, get over it! A moment’s indiscretion from someone who is likely a good Christian and a leader in his community. I’m sure he’ll apologize. Feminazi.

  2. fuck you Alex.

  3. A good christian would have never done this in the first place.

  4. If you think that he’s a “good Christian” I hate to think what a bad Christian looks like.! I guess that he never learned The Golden Rule. Do unto others as you have them do unto you!
