NBC’s KNTV in the California Bay Area cut eight jobs last week, Broadcasting & Cable says. Four on-air names lost their positions, including Noelle Walker and Danny Garza, and four who worked behind the scenes were cut, the newspapers reports. The company cited difficult business conditions. Raycom Media’s WOIO/WUAB duopoly in Cleveland said it was seeking efficiencies in laying off four full-timers and two part-timers in its studio, the newspaper said. The cuts follow firings earlier this week at Tribune’s KTLA.
