Reality programming pioneer Mark Burnett is taking his dispute with former associate Conrad Riggs to the California labor commission, the Los Angeles Times reports. The complaint charges Riggs acted as an agent for Burnett, even though he was not licensed and seeks the return of more than $1 million in payments, the paper says. Riggs sued Burnett last month claiming the “Survivor” producer reneged on a deal to pay 10% of his net earnings. Burnett countersued.
