GOP’s Use of ‘Barracuda’ Riles Wilson

Heart’s Nancy Wilson is upset over the GOP’s use of her song, “Barracuda,” during the Republican National Convention on Wednesday and Thursday nights, Entertainment Weekly reports. After the song was used following Gov. Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech Wednesday evening Wilson issued a statement saying, “The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission.” When the song was used again after Sen. John McCain’s speech last night, Wilson said, “I feel completely f—– over.” Apparently, Gov. Palin’s nickname is Sarah “Barracuda” Palin, which explains the party’s use of the song, reports the magazine.
