The Academy Awards broadcast will reunite the duo behind the movie “Dreamgirls,” says the Hollywood Reporter. Sid Ganis, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, has tapped producer Laurence Mark and writer-director Bill Condon to produce the telecast of the 81st annual Academy Awards. Mark will serve as producer and Condon as executive producer. Speaking of the Oscars, comedian-actor Ricky Gervais is garnering a lot of buzz as a potential host for the show after his scene-stealing performance at the Emmys, Entertainment Weekly reports.
