Rosanna Scotto is preparing to take over co-anchor duties for Fox-owned NNYW-TV’s morning show “Good Day New York,” the New York Daily News reports. Scotto is joining the show after the station declined to renew Jodi Applegate’s contract. Scotto, who is moving from a secure spot on the station’s strong 10 p.m. newscast to the struggling “Good Day,” told the paper she loves a “challenge.”

I love RoseAnn – she’s a real New Yorker and is a “real” person – not these perfectly coifed,size 0 barbie anchors – who really are annoying. When I want to get the news, I want to get it from someone I think can UNDERSTAND the news not just read it off the teleprompter! Good Luck RoseAnn and Jodi I’m sure entertainment tonight or that CNN channel showbiz program can use another anchor, good luck.
