ABC Tests Ghostly Romance for ‘Grey’s’

Nov 26, 2008  •  Post A Comment

According to EW.com, ABC is testing audience reaction to a romantic storyline on “Grey’s Anatomy” that would pair surgical resident Izzie Stevens with the late Denny Duquette. The ghostly romance reportedly is being tested by the network and creator Shonda Rhimes in response to the top show’s 17% decline in ratings from last season. Neither Rhimes, ABC nor Katherine Heigl, who plays Izzie, responded to EW’s request for a response.

  1. Get rid of it! This is the 2nd dumbest story line in Grey’s history (the first being the Callie/Hahn story which has thankfully been axed already.) Everyone I know who watches Grey’s feels this story line is ridiculous (as is the storyline with the interns practicing on themselves) and wish Denny would go and take Izzy with him. Can’t take it much longer!! Get back to the real stories, the romances, the medical issues and the workings between them all in the medical setting. And can someone please be happy on the show for more than 30 seconds? Please??
