Police in Hollywood, Fla., have officially closed the case on the 1981 murder of Adam Walsh, son of “America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh, the Washington Post reports. The man suspected of committing the crime, Ottis Toole, admitted to his niece on his deathbed to committing the crime, the newspaper says. “The not knowing has been torture, but that journey’s over,” Walsh said about the closing of the case during a press conference Tuesday, the Post says. His son’s abduction and murder are what led Walsh to create the show.
