Research firm Display Search expects the transition to lift TV sales by 2%, while a Nielsen survey in November found 38.3% of consumers planned to buy a converter box rather than a more pricey alternative.

Hmmm, you think it may just be the economy and people losing jobs??? I would think it could be.
Strange how that’s not in the story at all, but is a HUGE factor!
I also know that advertising revenue is down too, which may also be a factor. Nothing said about that in the story.
The reposting of the story SHOULD be a bit longer.
