Jenna Elfman has been cast as the lead of CBS’ pilot “Accidentally on Purpose,” while Amy Smart will take the top billing in ABC’s pilot “See Cate Run,” the Hollywood Reporter says. Elfman, plays a San Francisco movie critic who finds herself expecting after an affair with a younger man in the comedy project, which had been cast contingent, the trade paper says. “Cate,” previously titled “I, Claudia,” focuses on a young attorney who will someday become a U.S. presidential candidate.
