Pittsburgh’s WPXI has an extra reason to celebrate after Sunday’s Super Bowl game, TVNewsday reports. The station’s VP/general manager Ray Carter says revenue for WPXI, which has positioned itself as Pittsburgh’s Steelers station, got a big “boost” in January and has already exceeded expectations for February thanks to its coverage and telecast of the big game, the site says. Ratings for morning, midday and evening news shows also increased in the days leading up to the game, TVNewsday notes.
