A group of top-level actors including Tom Hanks are working behind the scenes to help close the gap between the Screen Actors Guild and the studios, the Los Angeles Times reports. Hanks and the others have made calls to media company executives, persuading News Corp.’s Peter Chernin and Disney’s Bob Iger to discuss how to resolve the labor dispute.
