Usage of digital video-recorders will increase by more than 70%, reaching 51.1 million U.S. homes with televisions in five years, MediaPost reports, citing Interpublic Group of Co.’s Magna. That means that 43% of all U.S. homes with TVs will use DVRs in 2014, the Web Site says. Magna also projects that homes using video-on-demand jump by 61% in five years to reach 67.2 million homes, or 56% of U.S. TV households.
