CPB Gives TV, Radio $3 Million for Economy News

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting said it will grant $3 million to noncommercial networks and shows such as “Nightly Business Report” to help them cover the recession, Broadcasting & Cable reports. “The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer” and NPR will lead an editorial team from several TV and radio shows to create content for shows, blogs, online video and other outlets that will explore the economic downturn, the trade paper says.
