Here’s What Jeff Sagansky, Former Chief of CBS Entertainment, Is Doing Now

Mar 22, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Jeff Sagansky, who used to run CBS Entertainment, is back in the TV business, but in a different capacity.

Three years ago he launched Winchester Capital Management with Jean-Luc De Fanti, and heretofore the company primarily financed movies.

But now Winchester has moved into TV financing, reports The Hollywood Reporter

TNT’s "Leverage" is the first beneficiary of Winchester Capital Management’s move into television financing; the “Leverage” deal will fund the hourlong series’ third season, providing $14 million for 16 episodes, which begin running this summer.

  1. Good luck. It makes sense for someone in the TV business making movie loans to also make TV series loans to projects like “Debbie’s First Dates.” Keith Warn

  2. Informative piece! Do you have any opinions that you might be willing to divulge in order to illustrate the second point a small bit more? thanks a lot
