Apple’s Jobs Claims Mistake in Rejection of Pulitzer-Winning Cartoonist’s App

Apple’s chief executive office Steve Jobs, responding to a customer’s email about a rejected iPhone application from Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Mike Fiore, said it was a mistake to reject the app, the New York Times reports.

Fiore, who draws animated editorial cartoons for SFGate.com, said last week that his iPhone app was rejected in December for having content that "ridicules public figures."

Apple didn’t respond to the New York Times for comment, but Jobs responded via his iPad to an Apple customer disagreeing with the rejection.

"This was a mistake that’s being fixed,” Jobs wrote.
