JJ Abrams, best know for his work on dramas, is working on a comedy project, the Hollywood Reporter reports.
"Miss Guided" creator Caroline Williams has signed a two-script deal with Warner Bros. Television, including developing a comedy project with Warner Bros. TV-based J.J. Abrams.
Abrams and his company Bad Robot had been searching for a way to create a half-hour comedy program after a line of drama series such as "Lost" and "Fringe," the article says.
Abrams has comedy experience, having directed a 2007 episode of NBC’s "The Office." That’s where Williams, who was a writer then on the show, met Abrams. In December, Williams said Abrams talked with her about creating a single-camera comedy pilot with a female lead.
