With ABC preparing for the departure of its hit mystery show "Lost", the network unveiled seven new shows for its fall schedule, although it emphasized two of those shows, "No Ordinary Family" and "My Generation," reports the New York Times’ Media Decoder blog.

The shows were talked up by "Lost" star Matthew Fox, who described the programs as having the "promise to take television to a new level once again." "No Ordinary Family" is about a family that develops super-powers, while "My Generation" follows a mock docudrama format as it tracks a group of high school graduates from Austin, Texas.

As for the network’s overall schedule, it’s adding five new dramas, one comedy and one reality program to its fall schedule, freshening up a line-up where hits such as "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives" are getting long in the tooth, reports Advertising Age

Mondays, Sundays and Saturdays will be untouched, but Tuesdays will introduce "No Ordinary Family" and police drama "Detroit 1-8-7" on either side of "Dancing With the Stars."

Wednesdays will bring viewers the new comedy "Better Together" at 8:30 p.m., with "The Middle" shifting to 8 p.m. After "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" holding down the 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. slots, ABC will bring in legal drama "The Whole Truth" at 10 p.m.

Thursdays will include "My Generation" at 8 p.m., while Fridays will include "Secret Millionaire," a reality show that tracks rich people going undercover among the poor, and medical drama "Body of Proof." ABC will bring back alien-invasion drama "V" at midseason and introduce three shows then, including "Off the Map," a medical drama from "Grey’s Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes.

  1. Weird — SECRET MILLIONAIRE was briefly on the FOX schedule a few years ago, fizzled there and vanished. Now ABC announces it like it is a new show, like it was hoping no one would remember…and maybe no one did!

  2. What kind of matter really, thank you for sharing, we have a common interest.
