The CBS affiliates’ meeting last week in New York was an upbeat affair, with positive reactions to the network’s 2010-11 schedule, reports B&C.

Raycom Chief Operating Officer Wayne Daugherty was named chair of the affiliates board, succeeding Tim Busch of Nexstar. Daugherty had previously served as vice chair of the group.

CBS, under the leadership of Leslie Moonves and his team of veteran executives, has been a most stable network, programming-wise, so affiliates have long been pleased with the network”s performance.

Thus, aside from good feelings about CBS’ new shows, most of them in protected time periods where they should do well, affiliates were buoyed by the news that CBS had rejoined the National Association of Broadcasters, the article said, adding that ABC’s affiliate group will meet in Los Angeles this week.
