CBS may give the Chuck Lorre-produced "Mike & Molly" an early pickup this week, breaking from its habit of waiting until the Monday of upfront week to make its picks, Nellie Andreeva reports at Deadline.com.
The reason is because the comedy about an overweight couple and their friends has a small window for CBS to decide to pick it up, so that producer Warner Bros. can shop it to other networks.
Separately, as broadcasters look to make their final decisions about next season’s picks, Andreeva outlines which pilots are in contention: At ABC, several shows including "No Ordinary Family" and "Generation Y" are still in the running.
