While some television stations are cutting back, KMSB-TV in Tucson, Ariz., is creating a four-hour morning television news program, reports Inside Tucson Business. 

The show will debut in the fall from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m. on weekday mornings and will be called "Fox 11 Daybreak Tucson," the article says. As a result, the station is searching for an executive news director and about a dozen new staff.

Currently the station, which is owned by Belo Corp., airs an hourlong news program at 9 p.m., which began in 2003. Now that that news program is established, the morning news program was "the next logical expansion," said Bob Simone, president and general manager. He said the news program will be a traditional morning news show with two anchors and a weather person, the article adds.
