Larry King Getting Phased Out at CNN?

Piers Morgan, the former British tabloid editor and host of "America’s Got Talent", will begin at CNN in October, beginning a phaseout of Larry King’s show with his own hourlong interview program, reports the New York Post’s Page Six

Morgan’s  show will start in the fall with four days a week, allowing CNN to slowly end Larry King’s show, the report states. Morgan will remain on NBC’s "America’s Got Talent," although will end his work with the U.K. program, "Britain’s Got Talent," and will pre-record his show for CNN so he can continue his other TV work.

CNN executives were impressed with Morgan’s interview work in the U.K., including one show where former Prime Minister Gordon Brown began to cry.

CNN, in a statement released to the Post, said, "Rumors that we are close to signing a deal for a Larry King replacement are untrue."

  1. Morgan doesn’t belong on a legitmate news channel after admitting he falsified news.

  2. I can assume then that you do not consider the Fox News Channel “a legitimate news channel,” no?!?!?!

  3. Or is it that he admitted it, and that’s the difference between him and Fox News?!?!?
