Christopher Colombo, the son of the late mobster Joseph Colombo, is planning to pitch a reality television show about living within the law — as soon as he finishes his 12 months of federally supervised release, the New York Daily News reports.
Colombo served a year in prison for running a gambling operation, which he told the newspaper was the "greatest life in the world." The show would track Colombo, 48, as he transitions from his $200,000-a-week illegal gambling operation to a legitimate 9-to-5 job, the story says.
Colombo says although he ran a gambling operation, he never hurt anyone or used loansharking or extortion. And his gambling operation wasn’t a mob business, he added.
Colombo has previous TV experience, as he starred in a 2005 HBO special called "House Arrest," which tracked him as he awaited his trial, the report says.
