Oprah Winfrey’s OWN, the talk-show host’s cable channel, may soon finalize a "sizable" advertising deal with a major auto manufacturer, reports the New York Post.
The deal, with General Motors, would mark the yet-to-be-aired network’s third major sponsorship, following agreements with Procter & Gamble and Kohl’s. The deal would give GM exclusivity in the auto category for some of OWN’s programs. A spokeswoman for OWN declined to comment to the Post. The advertising agreements place OWN halfway toward making its advertising sales goal six months before its debut, the article says.
