An Emmy-winning actor who starred in the NBC hit “Will & Grace” is looking for a return to series television, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Eric McCormack is talking with TNT about "Perception," a drama about a genius neurosurgeon who assists the Feds in solving difficult cases. McCormack did the short-lived series "Trust Me" for TNT in 2009.

Writers Kenneth Biller and Mike Sussman, whose credits include "Star Trek: Voyager," are scripting "Perception."

McCormack won an Emmy in 2001 for his performance as Will on the NBC sitcom.
