Wish “Big Brother” Was in a Smaller House? Potential Show from the CW May Provide Answer

The CW is fast-tracking development of a reality show that might appeal to viewers who wish the house in "Big Brother" were smaller, reports Joe Adalian in New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.

Called "The Frame," the show will feature competitors who are kept in small rooms, with their lives broadcast on television as they compete against each other, the story says. Adalian describes the show as a mix of "Big Brother", "The Amazing Race" and the defunct Fox Reality Channel series "Solitary."

The program is "expected to revolve around seven or eight teams of two: players with various social connections, like two sisters who’ve been estranged, or a newly engaged couple.

The teams will all be confined to a small space — perhaps no bigger than ten feet by ten feet — with a camera monitoring their every move. If they leave the space, or “the frame,” they are, rhymingly, out of the game," Adalian writes.
