Plans for the pricey Kardashian Prepaid MasterCard have apparently screeched to a halt after the card was widely criticized, ABCNews.com reported.

Among the issues that alarmed the critics: the card’s hefty $99.95 annual fee.

A lawyer for Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian announced Monday that the Kardashians are pulling their name off the card, the story reports.

Said Kourtney Kardashian: “We are not working with the bank anymore and that’s all we’re allowed to say.”

The decision follows news that Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is pursuing an investigation into the card, calling the fees “predatory.” Blumenthal has been targeting credit cards marketed with a focus on young adults.
