ivi TV, an online television broadcaster locked in a legal battle with the networks, is set to debut local stations from Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Chicago, reports Television Broadcast.

The service allows people to watch live broadcast TV from their computers, and currently shows local stations from New York and Seattle.

ivi claims it’s able to redistribute TV station signals online under a collective statutory license, and has filed suit against broadcasters in U.S. District Court in Seattle seeking affirmation, the story says. Broadcasters, for their part, have filed in a New York federal court with the goal of shutting ivi TV down.

ivi charges $4.99 a month after a 30-day free trial.
